Gozzini "parcheggia" la sua TM 660 in mezzo al rettifilo di partenza e comincia a darci alcune indicazioni di base sulla taratura delle sospensioni e sulla posizione di guida. Il nostro è il livello "racer" (per coloro che hanno già un po' di esperienza di pista e/o gare), quindi mi rendo conto che avere un'idea di come funzionano forcella e monoammortizzatore, sarebbe effettivamente utile. Dalle domande che gli altri pongono al "Gozzo" mi rendo conto che praticamente sono l'unica che che ci capisce veramente poco. Fortunatamente vengo giustificata in quanto donna, ma le spiegazioni del mio istruttore sono così chiare che posso dire di avere afferrato almeno i concetti di base.
A questo punto cominciamo a dedicarci ad un paio di curve del tracciato e mentre l'istruttore ci osserva dall'interno della curva, noi passiamo ripetutamente cercando di seguire le nozioni appena apprese sulla posizione di guida, sul modo in cui effettuare la staccata e sulla traiettoria ideale. Effettivamente mettendo a fuoco una breve sequenza di curve, quasi tutti riescono a migliorare traiettorie e frenate. Sarebbe bello poterlo fare ad ogni curva!!!
Ad ogni sessione di prove tutti i partecipanti ricevono le indicazioni necessarie a migliorarsi, inoltre ogni 5-6 ripetizioni veniamo fermati da Gozzini che ci consiglia e ci corregge uno ad uno.
Il corso avanzato prevede anche una sessione nello sterrato. Purtroppo a causa del forte vento non riusciamo a dedicarci troppo al tratto offroad, poichè i salti diventano pericolosi.
Inoltre il fondo della parte sterrata è veramente impegnativo e immediatamente emergono le doti crossistiche dei partecipanti, evidenziando le mie carenze in materia! Nonostante le difficoltà tutti cercano di mettere in pratica i preziosi consigli degli istruttori e veniamo interrotti per la rifocillare gli stomaci affamati!
Durante la pausa pranzo riusciamo a fare due chiacchiere con Gozzini, di cui presto pubblicheremo un'intervista, e Occhini. Questi due piloti sono davvero persone alla mano, cordiali e socievoli, lontani anni luce dai "colleghi" di altre discipline motoristiche che, godendo magari di maggiore fama, si atteggiano a personaggi famosi.
Nel pomeriggio torniamo in pista per altre sessioni di guida, ma veniamo lasciati liberi di mettere in pratica le nozioni acquisite e vengono rilevati alcuni tempi sul giro per verificare i miglioramenti. Gozzini e Occhini ci osservano, a volte da bordo pista a volte seguendoci in sella alla loro TM. Tra una sessione e l'altra possiamo chiedere ulteriori chiarimenti delle traittorie e della tecnica di guida in un ambiente che, nonostante la professionalità, sa molto di familiare e non mette per nulla a disagio. Non capita tutti i giorni di chiedere un chiarimenti sulla migliore traiettoria a piloti di questo calibro.
La giornata è ormai conclusa. Procediamo con i saluti e i ringraziamenti e ci viene consegnato un simpatico diploma firmato da Davide Gozzini e Andrea Occhini, i nostri istruttori.
Ringraziamo lo staff di Corsomotard per la disponibilità e per aver messo in palio uno dei loro corsi per SLIDING TESTER, sicure che la vincitrice sarà molto felice di apprendere l'arte del Supermotard dal "Gozzo" e da Andrea Occhini. Un altro ringraziamento a questi due piloti, che oltre ad essere grandi campioni, sono anche simpaticissimi e disponibili.
 Tuesday March 24th, on the track of Castelletto di Branduzzo, we took part to a riding course organized by CORSOMOTARD, to which Supermotogirls has been invited to take part and that is also the first prize for SLIDING Tester! At 9 o'clock we met the other participants. Davide Gozzini and Andrew Occhini are preparing. They wear their suits and they come to us. Despite we are talking to world fame riders, the confidential tone and the cordiality of these champions give us immediately feel among friends. We finish the operations of registration and we immediately start the course. The track is in exclusive for us for the whole morning, so we take our bikes and go into the track. The instructors tell us to effect some laps to be able to observe us and to understand our level. I'm sincerely excite to be observed by two Champions. Fortunately after some laps we are stopped and it begins the real course.
Gozzini "parks" his TM 660 in the middle of the track and it starts to give us some indications on the setting of the suspensions and on the position of riding. Ours level is "racer" (for those people that already have some experience of tracks and competitions), therefore I understand that it's important to know something about suspensions. Listening the questions of the other riders I understand that I'm very ignorant, instead the guys with me know something more. Fortunately I am justified as woman, but the explanations of my instructor are so clear that I can say I know something more, now! At this time we start to make excercises in some curves while the instructor observes us, we repeat the same curves many times to understand the advices about braking, position on the bike and trajectory. This method is very good, because all the riders are better than before. It would be good make this excercise in every part of the track!
At every session all the participants received the necessary indications to improve themself, besides every 5-6 repetitions we are stopped by Gozzini that it recommends us and it corrects us one to one.The advanced course included a session in Offroad. Unfortunately because the strong wind we didn't have too much time for it. Offroad was very hard and immediately good MX riders show us the difference! All the riders had a hard training and we were stopped for lungh break! During the lunch we talked with Gozzini (as soon as possible we'll public an interview) and Occhini. This Riders are very friendly, and they're very different from other most famous riders that seems Hollywood'sactors!
In the afternoon we had another session into the track, but we were more free, so we can try to do what the teacher said and they took some laps-time. Gozzini and Occhini observe us, at times from edge of the track, at times following us on their TM. Between a session and the other one we can ask further explanations of the traittories and the riding technique. They're very professional but also friendly so we feel good. Usually I can't ask the best trajectory to a world championship rider!
The day is finished. We proceed with the regards and thanks and they gave us a diploma signed by Davide Gozzini and Andrea Occhini, our instructors.
