1° ROUND INTERREGIONALE LOMBARDIA E PIEMONTE - BORGO TICINO

Centodieci i piloti schierati in griglia per la prima prova del Campionato Interregionale Piemonte e Lombardia, che domenica 22 Marzo ha dato inizio alla Stagione 2009.

Nella Categoria S1, riservata alle moto fino a 450 cc. (la più combattuta), ben 5 pilote si sono date battaglia con circa una sessantina di uomini. Fin dalle prove cronometrate del mattino le ragazze dimostravano tenacia e bravura, tanto da qualificarsi tutte nella Finale B. Gli oltre 60 piloti della S1 venivano infatti suddivisi in tre batterie per poter disputare tre finali, ottenute in base alle qualifiche. Le ragazze mostravano quindi grinta da vendere, lasciandosi alle spalle oltre una ventina di uomini. Sullo schieramento della Finale B della S1 le cinque ragazze ben figuravano, attirando l'attenzione del folto pubblico che per tutta la gara le incoraggiava e incitava. Buonissimo il piazzamento di Martina Beltrandi (6°) che segnava come best lap un ottimo 1.04.715 a soli 5 secondi dal

vincitore della Finale A, Luca D'Addato, Campione Europeo 2008. A seguire Barbara Pietrantoni (8°) e Alyssa Corazzi (10°) che si sono date battaglia subito alle spalle di Martina, e Mary Girotti (17°) e Monika "IRA" Sut (19°) che a causa di una caduta al primo giro, non è riuscita a rientrare nella bagarre.

110 racers lined up in the grid for the first round of the Regional Championship (Piemonte and Lombardia), on Sunday 22th March, and give start to the Season 2009.In the Category S1, reserved to the motorbikes up to 450 cc. (the more fought), 5 girls - pilots took part to the battle against about sixty men. Since the qualification of the morning the girls showed tenacity and cleverness, so much to be qualified all in the Final B. More then 60 pilots of the S1 were divided in fact in three batteries to be able to dispute three endings, gotten in base to the qualifications. The girls showed therefore grim, leaving behind themselves more then twenty men.On the grid of the Final B of S1 the five girls well represented women, attracting the attention of the public that encouraged them for the whole competition and it incited them. We announce the very good place of Martina Beltrandi (6th) that marked as best lap an excellent 1.04.xxxx only 5 seconds from the winner of the Final A, Luca Daddato, European Champion 2008. To follow Barbara Pietrantoni (8th) and Alyssa Corazzi (10th) that had a battle behind Martina and Mary Girotti (17th) and Monika "Ira" Sut (19th) that didn't take part to the bagarre because of a fall to the first lap.

BARBARA:La prima gara spaventa sempre un po', soprattutto dopo un brutto inverno in cui non è stato possibile allenarsi un granchè. Gli avversari sono tanti e quest'anno siamo addirittura cinque ragazze a confrontarsi sul rettifilo di partenza. La moto è invece perfetta, soprattutto grazie all'aiuto di Fabrizio Fiumanò del Freepower Racing Team per cui corro quest'anno ma la mia testa non è ancora psicologicamente pronta alla prima gara. Qualifiche a rilento e di conseguenza una griglia di partenza per i recuperi non tanto felice. Miglioro la mia posizione, tiro giù di più di due secondi il tempo sul giro ma non basta ancora. Una gara in salita anche la finalissima dove concludo in ottava posizione dietro l'aggueritissima Marty!!!

BARBARA: The first race of the season scares me everytime, aboveall after a winter with not enough training. The adversaries are so many and this year we are five girls at the start.. The bike is perfect instead, thanks to the help of Fabrizio Fiumanò of Freepower Racing Team for which I race this year but my head is not psychologically ready for the first competition. My qualifications were slow sothe grid was not good for me. I improve my position, I rode faster (two seconds) but it is not enough yet. A competition in slope also the final one where I conclude in eighth position behind the strong Marty!!!
MARTY: Giornata divertente, dopo aver superato la preoccupazione per il mignolo rotto sono stata abbastanza soddisfatta di come è andata la gara anche se speravo di finire nella finale A ma manca ancora qualcosa, soprattutto manca l'allenamento avendo girato solo 5 volte con la moto nuova!!! Un complimentone a tutte noi ragazze ci siamo fatte stra onore!!!
MARTY: Amazing day, after the preoccupation for my broken fingher, i did a good race even if i would like to race in "final A" but i have to training a little bit more, also because i rode my new bike just 5 times! Good job to us, girls!!!! we did a great job!!!
ALYSSA: La prima gara della stagione e la prima con la 450! Sono veramente felice della mia performance, ma ho bisogno di maggior allenamento. So che posso andare forte con il 450, è una gran moto e i miei tempi sono stati veremente buoni per essere la prima gara. Devo lavorare sulle partenze, fare più fuoristrada e allenamento fisico! Mi sono davvero divertita in gara! Ci vediamo a Ottobiano!
ALYSSA: First race of the season and first with the 450 ! I am very happy of my performance but need much more training. I know I can ride hard with the 450, it's a very good bike and the laptime were very good for a first time! I need to work on my starts, more offroad and PHYSICAL SHAPE!!! I really enjoyed the race and had a lot of fun! See you in Ottobiano!!
MONIKA IRA: Mi son divertita un sacco con le mie compagne. Per me il risveglio dal letargo è sempre così... non ho retto psicologicamente e neppure fisicamente...ho fatto del mio peggio, ma meglio di così non avrei potuto. Ce l'ho messa tutta e sono contenta lo stesso. Ringrazio anche io Paolo (team Manager) che mi ha aiutato e le mie compagne.
MONIKA IRA: I had a lot of fun with my friends. The wake from the winter is always hard for me... I suffered phsychologically and physical stress. I did my best, I was no able to do better. But I'm happy. Thanks to Paolo (the manager) that helped me and to my teammate.
MARY: E' stata una giornata bellissima. Purtroppo sono ancora un po' indietro rispetto alle altre donne, ma spero di migliorare nel corso della stagione, ma sono molto soddisfatta di me stessa, perchè aver lasciato dietro più di una ventina di uomini significa che sono migliorata molto rispetto alla scorsa stagione. Soprattutto nella parte offroad ora mi sento più sicura. Vorrei ringraziare il MAD BAT Racing Team e mio marito (il team manager) per il supporto, oltre a tutti i nostri sponsor.
MARY: It was a beautiful day. Unfortunatly I'm not at the same level of the fastest girls, but I hope to grow during the Season, and I'm satisfy of myself, because behind me there were more then 20 men and it means that I'm better than the last year.
